At the invitation of European House Budapest a representative group of civil society practitioners and other interested stakeholders met in Brussels on 17 December 2024. This was the concluding event of the Stronger.Together – The magic of macro-regions 2024 programme in the premises of the European Economic and Social Committee.
The intensive and rich plenary and working group discussions covered a broad range of topics from everyday perspectives of the EU Cohesion policy through the need to develop a macro-regional civil strategy to the usefulness of a European Cross-Border Association.
On the basis of recommendations formulated during the discussions European House Budapest developed a set of proposals to enrich the EU macro-regions and to bring Europe closer to its citizens.
The ten proposals you find here. They serve as a reference point and basis for the 2025 annual programme of Connect, the macro-regional CSO network.
