Macro-regional strategies are a relatively new and innovative forms of EU policy-making. They aim to bring closer connected geographical areas to strengthen cooperation by addressing today’s complex societal challenges.

The EU Alpine macro-region (EUSALP) brings under one roof seven countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia and Switzerland. Civil society organisations play a crucial role in shaping and implementing EUSALP policies.

What do we offer?

A day of unique learning experience where in a creative atmosphere you can discuss and learn how to influence EU policy-making; contribute to the elaboration of an EU macro-regional civil strategy and discover the importance of the 2024 European Parliamentary elections.

Who are the participants?

Our event is open to all who are interested in addressing the daily challenges we all face and ready to make Europe a liveable place where democracy prevails. International participants arrive from the EUSALP countries and even beyond.

After the discussions from 15:00 hours a special walk is offered to discover that Europe is right around the corner.

The event is part of the Stronger.Together – the magic of macro-regions project of the European House Budapest and co-hosted by La Maison des Européens Lyon.
